Acceptable Use Policy
Thriftshot is made for sellers who want better photos of the clothes they list. These rules keep it that way for everyone. They are part of our Terms of Service: by using Thriftshot, you agree to follow them and not to help anyone else break them.
What you can upload
Photos of clothing and accessories that you have the right to use, usually items you own or are selling. Photos of people are not what the service is for; don't upload photos where a person can be recognised without their permission.
Content that is not allowed
Don't use Thriftshot to upload, create or share anything that:
- breaks Czech or EU law, or the law where you live;
- infringes someone else's rights, such as copyright, trademarks or privacy;
- is sexual, shows nudity, or involves minors in any inappropriate way;
- is hateful, harassing, threatening or defamatory;
- promotes violence, self-harm or illegal activity.
Honest listings
Images from Thriftshot are meant to show your real item more clearly, not to misrepresent it. Don't use them to hide flaws or damage, to present an item as a different brand or model, to pass off counterfeit goods as genuine, or to list items you don't have. Check every image against the real item before you list it.
Using the service fairly
- Don't try to get around the free photo, credit limits or payments, for example with several accounts.
- Don't use bots, scripts or scrapers to use or copy the service.
- Don't try to break into, overload or disrupt the service or other people's accounts.
- Don't upload malware or files designed to cause harm.
- Don't reverse-engineer the service or resell access to it.
- Don't pretend to be someone else.
What happens if these rules are broken
We may check content and usage when we have a reason to. If someone breaks these rules, we may remove content, limit or suspend their account, or close it. Where the law requires it, or to protect others, we may report illegal content to the authorities.
Reporting a problem
If you think someone is misusing Thriftshot, tell us on the Contact page or at art.nmk129@gmail.com. Describe what you saw, with as much detail as you can.
Changes
We may update these rules as the service grows. We change the date at the top when we do, and tell signed-in users about important changes before they apply.
